A Way Out Of Here - breathe. Ukraine Documentary

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Australian band breathe. have heard from Ukrainians listening to their music in bomb shelters, on the front lines, and while grieving loved ones they have lost.

In July 2026 they decided it was time to show up in person, so we travelled to Ukraine to play two shows with all proceeds going back to support life in Ukraine. We went through towns affected by the war, met people whose lives have been changed forever, and spent a night in a bomb shelter as Kyiv came under one of the largest ballistic attacks since the invasion began.

We had heard about Ukraine through headlines about missiles, drones, and destruction. What we found was life, culture, community, and an extraordinary determination to protect it all. We came back to Australia feeling a responsibility to share the stories people trusted us with and this documentary is our attempt to do that.
